2025 Annual Meeting of the HOD: Speakers' updates overview

The 2025 Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates will be held June 6-11, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Prior to the meeting, the speakers will be providing regular updates. As the speakers provide these updates, they will be posted to this page.

  1. May 14 update

    1. AMA leaders discuss what the AMA is doing to protect physicians and their patients during this time of uncertainty and change.
  2. May 1 update

    1. The HOD Delegate Handbook is available, opening and closing dates are announced for the Online Reference Committees, plus a reminder about late resolutions.
  3. April 9 update

    1. The speakers announce the opening of registration for A-25, resolution deadlines, online reference committee dates, and updates to the credentialing process. 
  4. April 7 update

    1. Review the A-25 candidate webpages and find information about the in-person and virtual candidate interviews, the president-elect debate, and the A-26 election cycle endorsement window.
  5. March 7 update

    1. The speakers provide reminders about upcoming A-25 deadlines, reiterate the call for volunteers and provide an update to the official candidate notification for 2025 AMA elections. 
  6. Feb. 11 update

    1. The speakers announce that resolutions for A-25 are now being accepted, call for A-25 volunteers, updated Pending & Forthcoming Reports list, and council vacancies.
  7. Jan. 8 update

    1. The speakers provide election guidelines, call for A-25 volunteers, announce the date to determine eligibility for the HOD Emergency Assistance Program, and provide a tentative agenda for the June meeting.
