Advancing Equity through Quality & Safety Peer Network
The Advancing Equity through Quality and Safety Peer Network is a year-long program created by the Center for Health Equity at the American Medical Association (AMA) in collaboration with the Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH) and The Joint Commission (TJC). This program is a response to shared commitments to address health disparities. Its main objective is to assist health systems in incorporating an equity-focused approach into their quality and safety practices, ultimately enhancing health outcomes, especially for historically marginalized groups.
The AMA Peer Network aims to assist U.S. health care delivery systems in promoting racial justice and equity within their patient populations, staff, and communities. This will be achieved by utilizing high-performance quality and safety (Q&S) practices and technologies to systematically identify and address health care disparities as an integrated part of health care operations.
