Alpa Shah, MD, serves as chairperson of the Physician and Allied Health Professionals Community, at Marshfield Clinic Health System, Wisconsin, and is a member at-large on the Integrated Physician Practices Section (IPPS) Governing Council. Dr. Shah is also medical director of behavioral health at Security Health Plan.
The IPPS is a member interest group within the AMA for physician leaders in physician-led integrated systems. The section governing council is responsible for directing the IPPS effort at the national level to demonstrate the value of physician-led, coordinated systems of care.
