For elections occurring during the 2027 election cycle, the LGBTQ+ Section will offer endorsement. The section has opted to hold interviews by way of requesting written materials from candidates.
2027 Annual endorsement process
Candidates interested in seeking section endorsement for A-27 need to submit the relevant application. The section will review submissions, and the Membership and Engagement Committee members will make recommendations based on candidate responses to the governing council for final approval.
The deadline to submit applications for 2027 has passed.
2026 candidate support eligibility & requirements
The LGBTQ+ Section offers support to candidates for AMA House of Delegates (HOD) 2026 elections. Candidates seeking the support of the LGBTQ+ Section should complete and submit the relevant questionnaire. The section will review submissions, and the Membership and Engagement Committee members will make recommendations based on candidate responses to the governing council for final approval. The deadline for 2026 submissions is May 1, 2026.
