Jade Cook, a medical student in the CDU/UCLA Medical Education Program, serves as speaker of the Medical Student Section (MSS) Governing Council for the 2024-2025 term.
The MSS is a member interest group within the AMA for medical students. The governing council is responsible for directing MSS efforts at the national level to improve medical education and advocate for the future of medicine.
Cook has been a member of the AMA since 2021 serving in various regional and state leadership roles, as well as being a member of the AMA Board of Trustees’ Truth, Reconciliation, Healing and Transformation Task Force.
