Tristan Mackey, MD serves as alternate delegate of the Resident & Fellow Section Governing Council for the 2024-2025 term.
The RFS is a member interest group within the AMA to provide resident and fellow participation in the activities of the AMA and gives a voice to and advocates for issues that impact them.
Dr. Mackey has been a member of the AMA since 2018. He has served in various leadership roles, including as the MSS alternate delegate and RFS sectional delegate for the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a third-year resident in neurosurgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. His policy interests include immigrant health care, diversity, equity, and inclusion, LGBTQ+ issues, and public health. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Illinois State Medical Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
