Adrienne Nguyen

Adrienne Nguyen, a medical student at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, serves as the Medical Student Section (MSS) representative on the Women Physicians Section Governing Council for the 2024-2025 term.

The WPS is a member interest group within the AMA for women physicians and medical students. The section governing council is responsible for increasing the membership, participation and leadership of women in the AMA as well as advocating on women’s health and women in medicine policy issues.

Nguyen has been a member of the AMA since 2022, serving in various leadership roles at the local, regional and national levels including local campus chapter policy and action chair, MSS regional policy chair and delegation to the House of Delegates, and MSS standing committee leadership. She is also an active member of the Iowa Medical Society.
