Tiffani Bell Washington, MD, MPH, a child and adolescent psychiatrist and obesity medicine physician, serves as vice chair and AMWA representative on the Women Physicians Section Governing Council for the 2023-2025 term.

The WPS is a member interest group within the AMA for women physicians and medical students. The section governing council is responsible for increasing the membership, participation and leadership of women in the AMA as well as advocating on women’s health and women in medicine policy issues.

Dr. Bell Washington is a graduate of Norfolk State University and Medical College of Virginia/VCU School of Medicine. She completed her residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She received her Master of Public Health at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health specializing in leadership and health equity. Dr. Bell Washington is a wife and proud mom of five children under seven. She works as a physician executive and medical director for Elevance Health. She previously served on the Minority Affairs Governing Council, served two years on the AMA Ambassador Steering Committee, and currently serves as PS2 Advisory Committee member. Dr. Bell Washington is attending Yale School of Management class of 2025.
