Introduction
The American Medical Association (AMA) is a key leader in supporting improvement for physician well-being and offers expertise and insights from a national perspective so that we can best identify levers for change. Astute clinical judgment, effective collaboration and innovative problem-solving are all essential components to succeeding in an independent setting.
The AMA is initiating a survey opportunity that will support improvement in well-being for private practice physicians in small and medium practices. This survey will help the AMA establish a baseline measurement of burnout among physicians in the private practice setting, and to identify specific drivers of burnout. The information collected in this survey will help inform the development of both short- and long-term solutions.
The survey will be open from June 27-August 22, 2023. All responses are anonymous to the investigators and the AMA and will remain confidential. Your decision to take part in this study is entirely voluntary and will not affect your affiliation (or lack of affiliation) with the AMA in any way. A feedback report will be generated after the survey has been completed.
