The Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs (CEJA) is comprised of nine active members of the AMA, one who is a resident/fellow physician and one who is a medical student. Members of the council are elected by the House of Delegates on nomination by the AMA president-elect. Members elected to CEJA are required to resign all other positions held by them in the AMA upon their election to the council.
