Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis/Whooping Cough
Tdap vaccines can prevent tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (also known as whooping cough). The AMA recognizes that vaccination plays a critical role in fighting diseases and improving public health. Because patients may avoid vaccinations for a number of reasons, it remains important to be mindful of patient concerns or hesitancy. The AMA provides a number of resources and information on adult and child vaccines, including tetanus and whooping cough vaccine, as well as tips on implementing workflow processes to implement or streamline team-based adult immunization programs in your practice.
