The WPS Handbook Review Committee convenes prior to each WPS business meeting to review items of business under consideration by the House of Delegates. This committee identifies issues relevant to women in medicine or of timely significance to the profession as a whole and makes recommendations for WPS action. Please complete the WPS Handbook Review Committee volunteer sign-up form by May 14, 2025. Contact WPS at wps@ama-assn.org to learn more.

Each medical society represented in the AMA House of Delegates can participate in the Women Physicians Section (WPS) Associates Network. Members of the WPS Associates Network connect with other medical society representatives to address issues that impact women physicians and patients. Learn more and become a WPS Associate today!

The Women Physicians Section (WPS) seeks to influence and contribute to AMA policy and program development on issues of importance to women physicians, and to increase the number and influence of women physicians in leadership roles.

All women AMA members are automatically members of the WPS. Male AMA members who are interested in issues that impact women physicians may join WPS by completing this membership form.

Visit the education sessions page for session topics, speakers, times and CME opportunities.
