Rachel Solnick, MD, MSc, an emergency medicine physician, serves as alternate delegate of the Women Physicians Section Governing Council for the 2024-26 term.
The WPS is a member interest group within the AMA for women physicians and medical students. The section governing council is responsible for increasing the membership, participation and leadership of women in the AMA as well as advocating on women’s health and women in medicine policy issues.
Dr. Solnick completed her residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and fellowship in health services research through the National Clinician Scholars Program at the University of Michigan. She is currently an assistant professor of emergency medicine and population health science and policy at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Solnick formerly served as the Medical Student Section representative for the WPS Governing Council.
