Natasha Topolski, a medical student at McGovern Medical School, serves as immediate past chair of the Medical Student Section (MSS) Governing Council for the 2024-2025 term.
The MSS is a member interest group within the AMA for medical students. The governing council is responsible for directing MSS efforts at the national level to improve medical education and advocate for the future of medicine.
Topolski has been a member of the AMA since 2018, serving in various leadership positions, most notably as MSS chair, region chair, and co-chair of the Committee on Medical Education. In addition, Topolski is very active in her state medical association and currently serves on the Texas Medical Association Foundation Board of Directors.
